10/14 APPT Aukland Day 1A recap.

good news is that I made it to day 2! bad news is that I only have 31.9k stack to work with on day2 (started w/ 20k stack).

My chip stack has been a little bit of roller coaster the whole day. Was up to 29k at the first break, then down to 17k the 2nd break, then worked my way up to 44k at one point and then played one hand bad and cost me a lot of chips.

So basically, my first table was really good, players were super uber tight and passive except for the guy on my left who seemed to picked up the table dynamic and just raised literally every other hand. But he's not getting away easily from me. I started to 3bet him like crazy, every time he opens, I'd just 3bet and he'd fold. The 3rd time he opened at CO and I 3bet otb w/ KK hoping he'd get fed up w/ me and did some spazzy moves. To my surprised, he folded like a baby again :(.

Then at 150/300, guy on my right was very short and had 5500 when the hand began. he opened to 800 at hj and i found 55 in co. Obv a very standard 3bet/call against him. So I did and he tanked and reluctantly shoved his AQo in and we're on to the race. Obv I never win a single race in tournament when he binked the Q on the turn.

Later on I picked up many pots and worked my way up back to 35k before I got moved to the new table. New table wasn't too bad except for one of the Team Australia pros was running like sick good. Had AA 5 times and got action 4 times. Anyway, I misplayed a hand where I should've cbet the flop and chose to check and the guy caught his 6 outer on the turn and I lost the pot and now I ended the day with 31.9k. Sigh.

After the end of day1, me, Celina, DDBeast and bunch of other 2p2ers went to dinner and we had a great time. Italian restaurant here is really good. I also won the credit card rollette so the night was free.

Going to get a good night sleep now and I'm gonna go bungy jumping with DDBeast tmr.
